BCW Commits nearly £10,000 to fund genetics research at Cardiff University
BCW was proud to meet the ‘Inherited Tumour Syndromes Group’ at Cardiff University to contribute £9549.49 towards exploring genetics to get ahead of cancer. Thanks to incredible support we have received from our fundraisers that we are investing over £20,000 towards genetics research in 2018.

Bowel Cancer West funds Genetics Research at The University of Exeter
The charity was pleased to present Academic Consultant Colorectal Surgeon Mr Frank McDermott with a cheque for £5,712 at Royal Devon and Exeter Hospital to support his Rectal Cancer Epigenetics Study with the University of Exeter.

An urgent appeal is underway to help fund treatment to prolong the life of a young mother and Police Officer from Paignton diagnosed with advanced stage four bowel cancer who recently raised over £30,000 for Bowel Cancer West.

Devon and Cornwall Police Cycle Team raise £8630 for BCW
Earlier this year, 65 riders from Team DCP (Devon & Cornwall Police) and local cycling clubs took part in the 2018 Land’s End Challenge raising a remarkable £8630 for local charity Bowel Cancer West in support of their fellow officer diagnosed with stage 4 bowel cancer.

Paignton Dad completes seven marathons in seven days to support friend with bowel cancer
A super-human effort saw Steve Taylor from Paignton complete seven marathons in seven days over the weekend to help raise funds and awareness of bowel cancer for local charity Bowel Cancer West.
