BCW at Pentillie Festival of Speed

The Bowel Cancer West Team took part in the first annual automotive "Festival of Speed" at Pentillie Castle on Saturday 25th and Sunday 26th August 2012. There were a range of cars supplied by Castle Motors that were on display and open to the public that were "Supporting Bowel Cancer West" - thank you to all involved with the use of their cars for this use which included a Ferrari, TVR, BMW, Nissan and a Lambergini to mention just a few that were on display!
The BCW team ran a stand which provided an opportunity for fund raising, this was a "Gutter Boat Racing" competition for children, who had to race and blow their boat to the end of the water channel. Donations were sought from those taking part, with the new BCW wristbands available for participants.
Mark Coleman also took the opportunity to ensure that Bowel Cancer West was promoted on the commentry, and he was interviewed about the work of Bowel Cancer West on Radio Cornwall during the weekend.
Thank you to all those that took part and attended this event which we hope to repeat next year.
