Skydiver raises funds in memory of her husband
When Helen Hendy lost her husband Dean Hendy to bowel cancer she decided to take on a challenge and raise funds in his memory. Together with Dean’s close friend, Dave Coombs, they carried out a skydive in February of this year and raised a whopping £1308 from supporters.
Helen assures BCW that whilst it seemed a little daunting at first, she had a fantastic time. In fact, Helen she is looking to take on another challenge in the future to support the charity and says she wants to do more help the charity with their work in preventing early death through bowel cancer.
