Devon and Cornwall Police Cycle Challenge for Bowel Cancer West

This Sunday the 27th of May, 80+ cyclists will take on the gruelling 'Devon & Cornwall Police Cycle Challenge’ riding from Exeter to Land’s End in just one day!

The cyclists are riding to support their colleague Kelly Stabb who was diagnosed with bowel cancer last year and is campaigning for BCW. The cyclists have already raised over £2,500 towards Kelly’s appeal and aim to raise £10,000 in total.

The event organiser said:

"Kelly has an overwhelming feeling to give something back to those who are researching and developing the cancer treatment that is saving her life. As such she has set herself the goal of raising £10,000 for the charity Bowel Cancer West.

To raise money, Kelly intends to run the Edinburgh marathon with her husband on the same day as the ride and is organising a charity ball and other fundraising events.

Bowel Cancer West have been an incredible support to Kelly and we want to raise as much money as possible in order to help them support Kelly and others."

The riders have pit-stops at various points and would love extra encouragement from our supporters to help spur them along! They will also need plenty of ‘fuel’ to keep them going so any extra baked goods (such as flapjack) would be very welcome too! 😊

Timings are approximate:

Okehampton Police Station: 9–10:30
Launceston – St Stephens Community Hall: 10.30 – 12.30
Wadebridge Police Station: 12.30 – 14:30
