The Bristol Grand Prix

Cycling enthusiasts will take to the streets of Bristol on 19th August to watch and take part in Bristol Grand Prix- a circuit race in the city-centre that promises to be fast and challenging for participants and thrilling for spectators.

Bowel Cancer West are delighted to have been selected as charity partner to the event and will also be putting a team forward to compete as well as promoting their awareness and prevention message to the public.

The day will start at 10.30am with the ‘love my bike’ lap offering the public a chance to cycle the closed road circuit and experiencing the race course. Participants will be asked to make a small donation to the charity to take part, with the charity aiming to raise £10,000 towards a vital new project to fund research to fund research into improving outcomes for young people with bowel cancer in the south west.

This is the third year the GP has taken place and is now a major event in the Bristol calendar.   This year is particularly special with Bristol being selected as the European City of Sport and it promises to be the biggest spectacle yet. Click here to see how you can join in the fun
